In announcing her decision to run for a third term, Jeanne says:

 "Federal Way has made great progress in its 15 years of existence, but as a growing city, we face new challenges every day which demand experienced leadership. We need to operate with efficiency and fiscal integrity and with a clear eye on a positive vision for maintaining and improving our quality of life."
